10 UK trade unions call for revocation of U.S. access to British bases for attacks on Iran

Pars Today – Ten British trade unions have called on Andy Burnham, the country's prime minister, to revoke authorization allowing the United States to use British military bases for attacks on Iran.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the 10 trade unions have urged Burnham to pressure Donald Trump, the U.S. president, to end the war against Iran.

They argued that the continuation of the military conflict in West Asia is a major driver of Britain's worsening cost-of-living crisis, citing rising energy, fuel, and food prices.

The demand was made in an open letter signed by the leaders of the 10 unions, representing more than 2.3 million workers, and published in The Guardian.

The letter stressed that the British government must take practical steps to reduce tensions, beginning with revoking U.S. access to British military bases for attacks on Iran.
