Pars Today – With only about six weeks left until the U.S. congressional midterm elections, a new poll shows Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to an unprecedented, historic low.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, The Hill, citing a Reuters/Ipsos poll, reported that Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 32 percent, the lowest level of his second presidential term. It is also the lowest approval rating recorded for the U.S. president throughout his political career.
The findings show a 15-percentage-point decline in Trump’s approval rating compared with the 47 percent approval rating he had at the beginning of his second term.
The Reuters/Ipsos poll also found that 66 percent of respondents disapproved of Trump’s performance as U.S. president, marking a 25-percentage-point increase from the beginning of his return to the White House for a second term.
The Reuters/Ipsos poll was conducted from September 17 to 29, with 1,277 respondents and a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
The U.S. congressional midterm elections are scheduled for November 3, 2026, when all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and about one-third of the Senate seats will be contested. The outcome could change the balance of power in Congress.
Despite Trump’s rhetoric, there is no indication that energy prices will decline as a result of the war with Iran. Analysts say that nothing matters more to American voters in this year’s congressional elections than gasoline prices. As a result, the economy, high inflation and rising prices have become key vulnerabilities for Trump and his fellow Republicans in the election.
