Daesh attack in western Iraq; Popular Mobilization Forces take action

Pars Today – Iraqi sources have reported military operations by the country’s forces against remnants of Daesh terrorists in Salah al-Din Province, and an attack by Takfiri terrorists in western Anbar.

An Iraqi security source said today (Sunday) that a large-scale security operation has begun by the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in the Makhoul Mountains in eastern Salah al-Din Province, aimed at securing difficult-to-access areas. The source added that Iraqi forces have launched the operation from multiple fronts in the southern part of the Makhoul Mountains, penetrating up to two kilometers deep to secure regions with complex geographical terrain./ IRNA
