Iran’s Foreign Ministry: New US sanctions show depth of Washington’s hostility toward the Iranian nation

Pars Today – The spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the US Treasury Department’s recent sanctions on several Iranian and non-Iranian individuals and entities over alleged cooperation with the Islamic Republic in trade and banking.

Esmaeil Baghaei said the new sanctions — part of the US's failed and inhumane “maximum pressure” policy — are illegal and a clear violation of international legal norms. He added that the move once again highlights the deep and persistent enmity of the US regime toward the Iranian nation.

Baghaei stressed that the US sanctions, aimed at increasing pressure on ordinary Iranian citizens and depriving them of basic human rights, will only strengthen the Iranian people’s resolve to defend their legitimate rights and national interests against the US aggression. / IRIB news agency
