Explosion at US military base in Okinawa, Japan

Pars Today – Japanese sources reported an explosion at a US Air Force base in the south of the country.

Local authorities and Japan’s Ministry of Defense stated that the explosion occurred on Monday at the US Kadena Air Base in Okinawa Prefecture, injuring four members of Japan's Self-Defense Forces (SDF) who were working in a warehouse.

Okinawa, composed of hundreds of islands and located in Japan’s southernmost region, hosts a large portion of the US military bases and facilities stationed in the country. (IRIB news agency)
