Baghaei: Iran will respond firmly and proportionately to any unlawful act against its national interests

Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Tuesday rejected the IAEA’s accusations against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and said the Agency’s recent report reflects the explicitly political and biased approach of the European states and the United States.

Esmaeil Baghaei stressed: “Iran will respond strongly and proportionately to any unlawful act targeting its national interests.”

He expressed concern over the political climate surrounding the latest IAEA Board of Governors meeting, stating: “The director general’s report is not based on technical evidence but dictated by the political agenda of the three European countries and the US.”
He further noted that the report includes no claims of Iranian non-compliance or deviation from its peaceful path. “Unfortunately, he added, what is currently on the Board’s agenda contradicts the spirit of cooperation and international law.” (ISNA)
