EU expresses concern over regional tensions: Nuclear facilities' safety must not be jeopardized
Pars Today – The European Union’s ambassador and permanent representative to international organizations expressed concern over the Zionist regime’s terrorist attack on Iran and the possibility of escalating tensions in the region, stressing the need to ensure the safety and security of nuclear facilities.
Speaking at a Board of Governors meeting on Friday, Carl Hallergard stated: “The European Union is deeply concerned about the risk of West Asia entering a dangerous cycle of violence following the Israeli attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites and Iran’s response.
We continue to believe that the only way to sustainably ensure the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program and preserve peace and security in West Asia is through a negotiated and diplomatic solution.” /IRNA
