UNRWA: Malnutrition worsening in Gaza

Pars Today – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has reported a rise in malnutrition in the Gaza Strip since the imposition of the blockade in March 2025.

UNRWA said its medical center in Gaza has witnessed a growing number of malnutrition cases despite a severe shortage of essential medical supplies. The agency affirmed that its medical teams continue working to assist the most vulnerable.

UNRWA previously warned that the lack of potable and sanitary water, overcrowded shelters, and summer heat would have severe public health consequences. The agency stressed that the blockade must be lifted to allow humanitarian aid deliveries to resume.
