Pars Today – The former U.S. Special Envoy for Iran, Robert Malley, admitted in an interview on Wednesday that the American military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities was a mistake and that Tehran will not make strategic concessions under pressure.

Speaking to MSNBC, Malley acknowledged the failure of the Biden administration’s efforts to revive the nuclear deal (JCPOA), emphasizing that sanctions alone are insufficient to force countries into submission and that military action is not a solution to Iran’s nuclear issue.

The former U.S. negotiator, who led nuclear talks under the Obama administration, referenced the experiences of countries like Libya, Iraq, North Korea, and Ukraine, stating: "If I were in the Iranians’ shoes, I’d probably conclude I need nuclear weapons. Gaddafi was overthrown after surrendering his nuclear program, Saddam Hussein—who had no bomb—was toppled, but North Korea, which has the bomb, remains secure."
