Blocking pages of Al-Alam news channel after new exposures on crimes in Gaza
Pars Today - Upon the order of US administration, the media corporations of the country, in an unprofessional move against freedom of expression, blocked the pages of Iran's Arab language Al-Alam news channel on cyberspace.
This is not the first time that the accounts of Al-Alam channel are blocked. Facebook had deleted the confirmed pages of Al-Alam on Instagram in 2020. The social media platform X (formerly called Twitter) had also blocked Al-Alam's page despite having hundreds of thousands of followers.
This measure is taken while the most important document referred to by the masqueraders of free flow of information is Article 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights ratified in 1948, part of which reads, "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."
