Pars Today - The head of the Iranian Customs Administration announced an increase in Iran's non-oil trade with member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) over the past five months.

Mohammad Rezvanifar, the head of the Iranian Customs Administration, stated that Iran's non-oil trade with OIC member countries has increased by 15% to $26.7 billion in the first five months of the current year. According to Pars Today, Rezvanifar added that the weight of non-oil trade between Iran and OIC member countries during this period was 42.3 million tons, showing a 10% growth compared to the same period last year.

He further stated that out of the total non-oil trade between Iran and 56 OIC member countries, 33.6 million tons worth $13.5 billion were allocated to exports. He also noted that during this period, 8.7 million tons of goods worth $13.2 billion were imported from OIC member countries, showing an 18% growth in terms of weight and 15% growth in terms of value.

According to Rezvanifar, the largest volume of non-oil trade between Iran and OIC member countries in the first five months of the current year was with the UAE, Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan, and Oman, with these five countries accounting for $24 billion of the total non-oil trade between Iran and OIC member countries.
