National conference of martyrs of monotheistic religions; martyrdom a grateful loyalty
Pars Today- Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said that the wars occurring today originate in injustice in the world.
According to Pars Today, quoting from Taqrib news agency, Hojjat-ol-Islam Hamid Shahriari said during the National Conference of the Martyrs of Monotheistic Religions in Shiraz that standing against oppression is the duty of the divine religions. He added, "Prophets had faced with the enemies of justice and the wars that happen today are because of injustice in the world."
Shahriari called peaceful coexistence of religions in Iran as one of the most important manifestations of justice in the country and lashed out at the efforts of the US and some Arab countries to create discord among Muslims.
Governor General of Fars province, Hossein Ali Amiri, also, stressed that monotheistic religions have equal rights in Iran and continued, "The relations of governance and government in Iran means the ruling of all citizens regardless of religion, sect, ideology and ethnicity."
Behshid Barkhordar, representative of Iranian Zoroastrians in the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), also, underscored Iranians' lofty and precious cultural record and, considering martyrdom as a grateful loyalty, said, "It is the need of the modern era for everyone to make effort for fulfilling [their] right."
The National Conference of the Martyrs of Monotheistic Religions was held on Monday evening in Shiraz with the participation of 10 families representing 147 martyrs of monotheistic religions [other than Islam].
