  • Effective presence of women in Iran's management fields

Pars Today - The head of the National Popular Foundation of the Women's Progress Movement of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the effective presence of Iranian women in all fields.

After the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, due to the active presence of Iranian women in the field of higher education in the country, the per capita of female students has increased, and as a result, the country has faced a new generation of aware, educated, and empowered women.

Iranian women have been able to take the helm of management in various management fields. According to Pars Today, quoting Mehr News Agency, "Atefeh Saeedi Nejad", the head of the National Popular Foundation of the Women's Progress Movement of Iran, emphasizing that Iranian women can be effective in all fields, announced: "Currently, 370 headquarters of this foundation are active in the provinces of Iran."

The importance of the prominent role of women in Iranian society is such that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, has always emphasized supporting women in various fields.

The Leader has called the presence in society and social responsibilities as one of the areas of equal role-playing for men and women and has announced that there are no restrictions for women's presence.

Imam Khamenei considers meritocracy as the only criterion for assigning social and political responsibilities to women and men, and in this regard, he has noted that in a place like a ministry or the Parliament, if there is a more experienced and efficient woman, from the Islamic point of view, there is no restriction for her to take office.

The report of the Human Rights Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran, entitled "Women's Participation in Management and Decision-Making Fields", also indicates that gender equality has been achieved in the Iranian administrative system.

According to a report published by the Statistical Yearbook of the Iranian Administrative System in 2022 and 2023, the total number of official, contractual, and labor employees of the country's executive bodies at the end of 2022 was 2,246,397 people, of which 1,247,559 people, equivalent to 56%, were men, and 998,838 people, equivalent to 44%, were women.

Accordingly, gender equality in hiring and employment is clearly evident in the Iranian administrative system.
