  • No room for atomic weapon in Iran's defense doctrine

Pars Today- Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, said that atomic weapons have no room in Iran's defense doctrine and several reports of the international supervisory bodies have proved this.

According to Pars Today, Ali Akbar Ahmadian said on Wednesday at BRICS security summit in Brazil, "Iran will not withdraw from its definite rights, including peaceful use of atomic energy."

Ahmadian added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has proposed to unveil the BRICS digital currency and private and safe banking messenger for inter-group trade and the symbol of economic independence, and [Iran has also proposed] to set up the committee of supply chain security with emphasis on transportation insurance, creation of anti-sanction corridor and launching of a supportive fund to confront foreign sanctions."

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council added, "Some countries' threatening against BRICS and its member states indicates deep concern of the great potential of BRICS to shape a powerful economic, political and cultural bloc."

Ahmadian made it clear, "As for the issue of Palestine, the world is again witness to production of a dangerous discourse dubbed as "peace through power" and "diplomacy of compulsion", while true peace is originated in justice and recognition of legitimate rights."
