Global campaign to boycott Google: A company whose hands are stained with the blood of Iranians
Pars Today – Over the past two days (Thursday and Friday), social media has seen a surge in calls from international users to boycott Google.
Users launched the hashtag #BoycottGoogle to express their anger over a newly leaked deal between Google and YouTube and Netanyahu’s office. According to Pars Today, citing the American media outlet Drop Site News, Google is executing a $45 million advertising contract with Israel to run campaigns denying the famine in Gaza.
Fars News Agency reported that this six-month contract, which began in June, is being implemented through YouTube and its Display & Video 360 service. In the contract, Google is described as a “key entity” in supporting Netanyahu’s public relations strategy.
Notably, the contract between Israel and Google targets not only the Gaza war and its resulting food crisis but also Israel’s recent 12-day war with Iran.
An article by the Arab Organization for Reality Verification (Misbar) described Israeli advertisements on Google and Meta during the Iran-Israel conflict as “widespread propaganda”, portraying the bombing of Iran as necessary for the security of Israel and the West.
