YouTube deleted my channel after 11 years / Western propaganda on Iranian women

Pars Today- Marwa Osman, producer and anchor of Press TV channel, said, "For the past years, too, many internet websites had been closed down or deleted by the US Defense Department. The reason to enforce these restrictions is the difference of our narrative from the approach of the Western media."

Assistant professor of media studies in Lebanese International University said on being interested in news fields, "I follow Iran's political, economic and scientific fields and I like to know how is the condition in a country which has been under sanctions for 45 years. I think the people of this country have done a great job, and particularly during the past five years, we have been able to witness progress in Iran's relation with alternatives for Western media."

She stated about the view of the world people through the media, "As for the audiences of the Western media, familiarity with Iran's approach is very important. During the year 2017, I took part in a great event in Tehran on the issue of Palestine. What drew my attention in that conference for the first time was the real, conscious and continuous support of the Iranian people for Gaza which we rarely see such support by Arabs. For a while, I used to think that very few regional countries still support the cause of Palestine. But, when I traveled to Tehran, I witnessed that the Iranian history was in the same line with the cause of Palestine, and when I spoke with the people, I realized why Gaza matters for them and they consider their freedom in the liberation of Palestine." 

Press TV anchor said on her view about the role of women in Iran, "The first thing that astonished me in the sanctioned Iran, was the role of women in the society and government. Earlier, I was highly impacted with the narrative of the Western media on the way of life and the behavior towards women in Tehran. This was a cultural shock for me as the Lebanese Constitution is administered by the people for whom the mere presence of a woman in executive positions is insulting." 

She went on to say, "I think there are ways for Tehran's relation with various cultures and communities. Despite Iran's being under severe economic sanctions, we have to familiarize the world people with this approach via media confabs." 

Marwa Osman, pointing to the lack of freedom of expression in the world, said, "In the age of social media, there is no barrier except censoring. For instance, my YouTube channel, after 11 years of activity, was deleted from this platform without an early warning, while the whole archive of my programs on Press TV were in it. This program used to touch upon the developments of West Asia. For the past years, too, many internet websites had been closed down or deleted by the US Defense Department. The reason to enforce these restrictions is the difference of our narrative from the approach of the Western media. Yet, we are in the right path. We should break the cultural dams and, throughout the world, should find alternatives to circumvent censors." 

She added, "I think we can make contact with the Western audiences and make them familiar with our priorities. It is a false view stemming from the lack of complete perception of culture to pursue the approach of our communities for the foreign audiences." 

Press TV anchor concluded her words with an example, "For example, if I want to speak with the people of the Western countries about the budget spent by the US for killing of me and my family, it does not matter for most of the American people. But one can be the narrator of how their tax money could have been spent by the US to create an infrastructure and a good educational system."
