2 Hezbollah members assassinated in Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon
The Israeli regime has assassinated a senior member of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah and injured several others in a drone strike on southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese media reported on Sunday that Israel targeted a vehicle in Kafra village in the southern province of Nabatieh.
The targeted members reportedly belonged to a unit specialized in protecting personalities and transporting Hezbollah leaders.
The Lebanese resistance movement confirmed the Israeli assault in a statement and said Fadhl Ali Salman Sha’ar “rose as a martyr on the road to al-Quds.”
Lebanon's Arabic-language al-Manar television channel said the Israeli drone strike targeted the vehicle near a Lebanese military checkpoint in Kafra, killing one and injuring six others.
