Bloody night in Rafah
In addition to the widespread bombardment of the Gaza Strip, the city of Rafah in the south of the strip witnessed a bloody night on Sunday. The journalist of Al-Mayadeen channel announced that the Zionist regime with several heavy and powerful rockets targeted an area in the region where more than 100 Palestinian refugees had taken shelter. The attack led to the martyrdom of at least 50 and injury of scores of others.
70 legal organizations call for official declaration of famine in Gaza
According to Tasnim news agency, seventy legal organizations affiliated to the UN, in a joint statement, announced that, with respect to the speedy spread of hunger and increase of malnutrition among all strata including children, Gaza has to be declared officially as a famine-stricken region.
Saudi envoy to Syria appointed after 12 years
The Saudi official news agency on Sunday informed of appointment of its new envoy to Damascus after 12 years. According to the announcement of WAS, the Saudi King, Salman, has appointed Faisal bin Saud al-Mujfel as the new ambassador of this country in Syria.
It is should be mentioned that, after the flare-up of crisis in Syria in 2011, Saudi Arabia supported the armed crisis-mongering current in the country and severed its ties with Damascus.
After the victory of Syria over terrorists, however, Riyadh has spoken of its inclination to revive relations and invited the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, to the Arab leaders' summit last year.
Yemeni National Salvation Government frees 112 captives
According to ISNA news agency, the Yemeni National Salvation Government on Sunday unilaterally set free 112 prisoners of war. Abdul Qader al-Murtaza, head of the National Committee for Captives, affiliated to the YNSG, stated that this initiative has been carried out in a bid to execute the orders of Abdul-Malik Badrudeen al-Houthi, Secretary General of the Yemeni Ansarullah Movement and according to humanitarian motives.
Iraq agrees with construction of a maritime border crossing with Iran to welcome Arbaeen pilgrims
According to IRNA news agency, Abdul-Amir al-Shamri, the interior minister of Iraq, announced on Sunday that the Iraqi prime minister and the commander-in-chief of the Iraqi forces have agreed with adding a maritime border crossing from Abu Flus port in Basra to Khorramshahr in Iran to welcome the pilgrims of Arbaeen of Imam Hossein (Peace upon him). The Arbaeen march of Muslims towards Karbala (the mausoleum of Imam Hossein) is the greatest ever religious gathering not just among Muslims but among the world people throughout history.
Araqchi: Israeli nuclear threats will change security equation in the region
According to IRNA, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, Secretary of Strategic Council of Foreign Relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said on Sunday during the "Regional Balance after al-Aqsa Storm" panel in Doha within the framework of Aljazeera channel seminar, that the nuclear threats of the Zionist regime will change the security equation in the region. He added, "These threats will force others to rethink over their nuclear status." Araqchi also said, "The West Asia region must be free of nuclear weapons and the Zionist regime must be disarmed of nuclear weapons."
Imam Khamenei's message of condolence to great mujahid, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah on the occasion of his mother's passing away
According to the website of the Leader's office, Imam Khamenei on Monday, issued a message whereby he expressed his condolences to Hojjat-ol-Islam Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah on the occasion of his mother's passing away. The full text of the message reads:

To the blessed presence of the great mujahid, Hojjat-ol-Islam Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the Lebanese resistance,

I extend my heartfelt condolences on the passing away of your noble mother. To mention the nobility of that late lady, it would suffice that the inexhaustible Seyyed of resistance has been raised in her lap. May God's satisfaction and mercy be upon her and the divine greetings and blessings be upon you and your combatant friends in the great front of resistance.
