Hamas' glorious October 7 operation and economic crises of Israeli colonial regime
Pars Today- The war in Gaza has resulted in very high and irreparable political, security, military, social and especially economic expenses for the Zionist regime.
While before the Zionist regime's attack against Gaza, the economy of the regime was suffering from intense inflation, after 9 months of war, the crisis has been aggravated. Pars Today has cast a look at the economic crisis of the Israeli regime after the war:
Decrease of Israel's credit rating due to economic impacts of war
The Zionist regime has sustained very high economic expenses since the beginning of its attacks to Gaza, the latest of which is the reduction of credit rating of the regime in 30 years according to Modi's evaluation institute. Modi's is an American financial and trade services company active in the fields of analysis of bonds, stock exchange, crisis management and investment funds management. Since Israel's joining Modi's rating plan, this institute has decreased the credit rating of this regime to A2 and has announced in its declaration that this has been done due to the forecast of high level geopolitical hazards, particularly mid-term and long-term security risks for Israel.
Increase of transportation expenses due to insecurity of Red Sea for Israel
After the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and absolute siege of this region, the Yemeni armed forces announced that they will impede the crossing of ships headed towards the Occupied Territories and will target them. These attacks have intensified during the recent weeks, and as the regime's trade is more than %90 dependent on the sea, this move of Yemen has imposed very high expenses on the Zionist regime.
Decrease of tourism income
A look at the number of tourists of the Occupied Territories between the years 1995-2023 reveals that an average of 2.5 million people have traveled to the Occupied Palestine per year, the climax being 4.5 million in 2019. This regime earned $5.5 billion from tourism in 2022. But, after the al-Aqsa Storm, the Zionist regime's tourism has been harmed seriously and the number of tourists was 89,000 and 38,000 in October and November 2023 respectively. And in December this number was Zero.
Impact of war on jobs
Since the beginning of war, no company has started working in the Occupied Territories and nearly 57 thousand companies, which are mainly small ones, were closed in 2023. This shows a %35 increase of closure of companies compared to the previous year. Moreover, after the call for recruitment of more than %70 of reserve forces of the Zionist regime army, this regime has faced with shortage of workforce and has employed Indian workers to compensate.
Expenses of homeless settlement
After the start of the war, many families residing around the Gaza Strip and the north of the Occupied Territories and the Lebanese border, tried to migrate to more secure regions. Thus, in the first days the hotels, motels and rental flats were filled. Head of the hoteling association of Israel said that half of the hotel rooms have been dedicated to those who have been displaced from Gaza. Therefore, the Zionist regime cabinet has thought of setting up encampments to settle these people. For example, 150 thousand square meters have been appropriated for this purpose.
The immediate impact of these events is the serious increase of reverse migration of Zionists from the Occupied Palestine during the recent years. Furthermore, it has imposed high financial effect on the Zionist regime cabinet and caused the hoteling industry to face big problems in the Occupied Territories.
These were just part of the economic impacts of the war on the Zionist regime and it will surely incur much more social, security and political repercussions.
The last but not least, other economic woes have occurred in various parts of the world due to boycotting some of the companies affiliated to or supporting the fabricated Zionist regime; although these woes have not been evaluated exactly.
