Pars Today - Turkish Foreign Minister, regarding Iran's response to the Zionist regime's aggression, said: “Iran's action was legitimate self-defense.”

According to Pars Today citing IRNA, Hakan Fidan added on Friday night: “We had predicted that the war would not be limited to Gaza but would also spread to another geography, namely Iran; and this is what happened.”

The Turkish foreign minister added: “Netanyahu launched a war against Iran due to domestic issues.”

On Friday, June 13, the Zionist regime, in clear violation of international law and the national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, targeted areas in Tehran and some other cities, including the country's nuclear facilities, with a military attack. A number of scientists, military personnel and innocent civilians were martyred in this terrorist act.”

Following this aggression, the United States of America also joined the Zionist regime's war against Iran on Sunday morning (June 22) by directly attacking the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear sites. In response to these aggressions, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, citing Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves all options to defend its national interests and the security of its people.

On Tuesday, June 24, the US president claimed a ceasefire agreement between Iran and the Zionist regime. The Islamic Republic of Iran also stated that it did not initiate the war and clarified that if the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression, Iran has no intention of continuing to respond.

Following these developments, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) emphasized in a statement: “The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be ready to give a decisive and regrettable response to any aggressive action by the enemy, without the slightest trust in the words of the enemies and with full readiness.”
