Pars Today – Palestinian government sources in the Gaza Strip and international organizations have stressed that the limited entry of aid into Gaza is a media deception by Israel, warning that 40,000 infants in the enclave are at risk of death due to malnutrition, with 14 new starvation-related deaths already recorded.

As the famine crisis in Gaza reaches its peak, the deaths of civilians—especially children—from hunger have become routine. Meanwhile, the Zionists are attempting to cover up their crimes and manipulate global public opinion through deceptive displays of aid deliveries. Munir al-Barsh, Director-General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, stated that reports about aid entering through land crossings or airdrops are part of a media propaganda campaign, and even if such aid deliveries occur, they do little to alleviate the hunger crisis in Gaza.

The agonizing plight of starving doctors in Gaza

According to Pars Today, citing Tasnim News Agency, Munir al-Barsh, Director-General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, said:

"Even doctors in Gaza cannot find food to eat, and their bodies are wasting away amid the widespread famine caused by the Zionist regime’s starvation war against Gaza."

Al-Barsh added: "Surgeons lose focus during operations, and medical staff are suffering from memory loss due to hunger. The humanitarian situation here is indescribable—famine is everywhere. Children are starving, and mothers are collapsing among the rubble."

Regarding the Zionist regime’s claims of a "temporary humanitarian ceasefire," he said: "Unless the ceasefire becomes a real opportunity to save lives, it is meaningless."

Gaza’s children reduced to skin and bones

Ahmad al-Farra, head of the pediatric department at Nasser Medical Complex in southern Gaza, warned that unless food and infant formula arrive immediately, starvation deaths—especially among children—will rise dramatically.

Al-Farra added: "Nearly one million children are at risk of hunger and malnutrition. In the nutrition ward at Nasser Medical Complex, their bodies have been reduced to bones covered by skin—with no muscle or fat tissue left."

He emphasized: "One million citizens live in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, most suffering from varying degrees of malnutrition. The latest cases involve infants and children starving due to a severe shortage of milk."

40,000 infants in Gaza face gradual death

The Palestinian government’s media office in Gaza stated in a release that thousands of infants are at imminent risk of death due to Israel’s blockade on baby formula.

The statement added: "For the past 150 days, the Zionist regime has prevented all food supplies, including infant formula, from entering Gaza—a crime against humanity. Over 40,000 infants under one year old face slow death due to this suffocating and criminal siege."

Israel’s claims about aid deliveries are a deceptive show

Amjad Shawa, head of the NGO Network in Gaza, stated that the occupying regime’s claims about delivering aid are media propaganda, and what little has reached Gaza is severely insufficient.

Shawa stressed: "Humanitarian needs can only be met by lifting the siege and opening crossings—not through media stunts."

Children bear the brunt of suffering

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has stated that while all segments of the population in the Gaza Strip are suffering from hunger, children are enduring the most severe hardships. The organization emphasized: "Instead of attending school and playing, young boys and girls in Gaza are risking their lives by venturing into dangerous areas in desperate search for food."

The World Health Organization (WHO) has also warned that malnutrition in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels, with a significant increase in starvation-related deaths being recorded.

Airdrops cannot compensate for the deliberate starvation imposed on Gaza

Tom Wilcher, UN Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, stated: "The situation in the Gaza Strip requires not just a suspension of military operations, but a permanent ceasefire."

The Zionist regime's deceptive spectacle of airdropping aid into Gaza has drawn strong condemnation from international organizations: Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated: "Airdrops after months of severe starvation in Gaza are meaningless—Israel continues to use hunger as a weapon against civilians."

Oxfam International emphasized: "Israel's airdrops cannot compensate for the months of deliberate starvation inflicted upon Gaza's people."
