Pars Today- 21 people were killed or injured in a shooting spree in a street feast in Michigan.

Gun Violence Archive has recorded over 40,000 deaths in last year caused by firearms in the US. The effort to limit arms carrying in the country has always been opposed by politicians and arms lobbies. According to Pars Today, in the latest shooting which was reported by the police of Michigan, 2 persons were killed and 19 others injured in Detroit on Sunday morning.

According to the US police, early reports indicate that the injured have sustained injuries in different parts of their bodies.

Meanwhile, in a shooting bout on Saturday night in Kentucky, east of the US, 5 people were killed and 3 others were injured.

Moreover, the US police had recently shot dead a teenager in Utica city of New York state.

The US officials announced that the reason for shooting the 13-year-old Nyah Mway was that he had a waist pistol, whereas it was known that the pistol was just a toy.

The US police, however, claimed that due to the high similarity of the toy with real pistol, the teenager was shot.

After the death of this Myanmar boy, Utica was the scene of protest rallies.

According to the latest news, police officers involved in killing Nyah Mway had been sent on leave with pay.

This is while, the American officials have announced that the shootings and violent clashes during the Independence Day holiday (July 4) have caused at least 33 dead and scores of others injured all over the country.

The results of a recent opinion poll of "Kaiser Family Foundation" (KFF) in the US reveal that 1 out of every 5 Americans has been threatened with a weapon and has experienced arms violence.

Thousands of Americans are killed or injured in different parts of the country annually as a result of shooting.

According to the official reports, there are nearly 270,000 – 300,000 firearms in the US. This means approximately one weapon per person.

The issue that shouldn't be neglected is that the United States is pursuing the same course in the global arena, too. That's why, wherever it has entered, there is a trace of violence, carnage and war. These are the things whose main profiteers are the arms tycoons and big companies based in the US.
