  • Mr. United Nations! Listen!

Pars Today- The attempt to assassinate the leader of an official party of a country during an official visit to another country by a third party, in accordance with Article 8 of the International Criminal Court, is an international crime.

The following note, sent to Pars Today, is an open and critical letter written in response to the assassination of "Ismail Haniyeh," the head of Hamas's political bureau, and his bodyguard in Iran by the Zionist regime. This open letter criticizes the weaknesses and negligence of the United Nations in this regard:

Don't you have a responsibility to take action against terrorist acts based on the draft articles on the responsibility of states for internationally wrongful acts adopted by the International Law Commission of the United Nations in 2001?!

Hasn't the international community adopted resolutions and conventions against terrorism in various aspects of international terrorism?! One of the most important of these is the "International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings", which has been signed by 164 countries.

According to Article 2 of this Convention, anyone who, by any means, attempts to place, dispose of, or detonate an explosive or other lethal device in a public place, government facility, or public transportation system, resulting in destruction, injury, or death, is guilty of a terrorist act.

Mr. United Nations!

The attempt to assassinate the leader of an official party of a country during an official visit to another country by a third party, in accordance with Article 8 of the International Criminal Court, is an international crime. The assassination of a Palestinian political figure is an attack on Palestinian sovereignty and, in accordance with the aforementioned article and UN General Assembly Resolution 3314, is a crime and aggression and an international crime.

Mr. United Nations!

The action of the Zionist regime is a clear violation of several principles of the United Nations Charter. Article 2 of the United Nations Charter deals with respect for the territorial integrity and political independence and sovereignty of countries. The Zionist regime assassinated a political leader and leader of a party, Hamas, in another country. This is a violation of the sovereignty of the host country (Iran) of the assassinated person. It should be noted that armed attacks on officials and statesmen, whether military or civilian, are considered attacks on the sovereignty of that country.

Mr. United Nations!

Ismail Haniyeh, as a politician and leader of the Palestinian party, had entered Iran with a diplomatic passport, and we all know that individuals and property of governments are immune in the territory of other governments. Therefore, this terrorist operation, in addition to violating the principles of state immunity and its organs, is also considered an attack on the sovereignty of another country.

In paragraph 7 of this article, attention is also paid to the issue of non-interference in the internal affairs of countries. The Zionist regime has interfered in Iran's internal affairs in this action, and this action was taken without the knowledge, consent, and permission of the Iranian government.

Mr. United Nations!

The action of this criminal gang, Israel, is a clear example of international terrorism. This regime uses violence against officials in an illegal manner to create fear. This action is an essential element of international terrorism, which has resulted in the murder of Ismail Haniyeh and his bodyguard. Israel bears international and individual responsibility for this criminal act.

Mr. United Nations!

This regime has a long list of international crimes, including massacres, aggression, and terrorism, in its record, and it commits the most heinous anti-human actions in the Occupied Territories every day, and yet it continues to enjoy the support of the dominant system and international institutions. In fact, we are dealing with a regime that is not bound by any international law.

The United Nations Security Council, which claims to be responsible for maintaining international peace and security, is unable to confront the Zionist regime. It must be clearly stated that the Zionist regime is part of the power and sovereignty of the United States.

Mr. United Nations!

The right to severe revenge is reserved for Iran, for the people of the region, and for freedom-seekers around the world.
