According to Pars Today, in an article on Rai al-Youm website, Atwan pointed to boycotting of the products of Carrefour corporation by the Jordanian people which has forced it to close all its branches in the country and wrote, "Beside the attacks of the Islamic resistance deep in the Occupied Territories, other happy news has also been disseminated from outside the warfronts of Gaza and Lebanon, West Bank, Yemen and Iraq despite alignment of the Arab regimes with occupiers."
This Arab analyst said, "As a result of the disgraceful and treacherous alignment of the Arab regimes with the Zionist enemy, it is natural for us to be happy for closure of Carrefour shops in Jordan because this is a great success for the popular campaign of boycotting companies and brands supportive of occupiers."
Abdel Bari Atwan added, "This issue has a high spiritual value since it demonstrates popular resistance which is clearly a strong and a crushing reaction to the alignment of the Arab regimes with Zionists and their suspicious silence in the face of the massacres by Israel."
This analyst continued, "This is a warning to the regimes which want to rule people at gunpoint and by force of arms."
Atwan stated that the trend of boycotting the companies supporting the Zionist regime is a beginning of a development in the region and the world which will pave the way for the great victory.
