Cuba: We will defend ourselves against US military aggression

Pars Today – Cuba’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations emphasized that the country has the right to defend itself in the event of a US military attack.

According to Pars Today citing IRNA, Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, Cuba’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, said in an interview with TASS on Sunday night that Cuba, in the face of military aggression as well as false and fabricated pretexts by the United States, has the right to legitimate self-defense under international law and the UN Charter.

US President Donald Trump has, over the past few months, pursued a policy of “maximum pressure” and military threats against Cuba.
