Welcome to this week's episode of the series "Let's Know Islam". Today we continue to study some of the other features of paradise.

God Almighty has created paradise out of His kindness, and has wanted to host His guests in paradise, who are pious individuals, in the best possible manner. In Heaven, the main host is the omnipotent God. The one and only creator of the world knows how He will host His guests upon granting astounding rewards for the inhabitants of paradise.

In the 17^th ayah of Surat al-Sajdah in Holy Quran, God Almighty states: "No one knows what has been kept hidden for them of comfort as a reward for what they used to do."

Upon the arrival of the pious and faithful individuals to paradise, the gates are opened and divine angels welcome the inhabitants of paradise. These divine angels happily guide the pious and the faithful to Heaven.

A number of ayahs of Holy Quran have mentioned some of the rewards which are granted to the devout and Godwary individuals in Heaven. For instance, the 12^th to 14^th ayahs of Surat Al-Insan in Holy Quran note: "And He rewarded them for their patience with a garden and garments of silk, reclining therein on couches. They will find in it neither any scorching sun, nor any biting cold. Its shades will be close over them and its clusters of fruits will be hanging low."

Based on these ayahs, God Almighty grants paradise to good-doers because of their patience and rewards them with garments of silk, while the inhabitants of paradise are reclining therein on couches. This shows that the inhabitants of Heaven live in comfort and peace.

These ayahs also refer to the moderate climate of paradise: there is no trace of scorching sun or biting cold in Heaven. In other words, paradise maintains a mild and moderate climate.

Heaven is full of ever-green and fresh trees, which are tall. There is a wide variety of trees in paradise, and their branches are always fresh, unlike the trees in the mortal world, which dry up after a while.

Given that water currents permanently run across gardens of paradise, the Heavenly trees are always green and fresh. The presence of creeks, springs, and waterfalls which are filled with pure and transparent waters, next to trees, shape unique and scenic landscapes in paradise.

Some of the ayahs of Holy Quran have described Heavenly trees. The 28^th to 30^th ayahs of Surat al-Waqi'ah in Holy Quran note: "Amid thorn-less Lote trees and clustered spathes and extended shade,…"

Lote trees maintain extended shades. These trees maintain thorns. However, in accordance to this ayah, Lote trees in Heaven are thorn-less. Based on narrations, instead of thorns, colorful fruits grow on the branches of Lote trees in paradise.

In these ayahs, another blessing in paradise has been mentioned which is extended shades. Hence, the inhabitants of paradise never face scorching heat.

In the ever-green gardens of paradise, in addition to large numbers of fruit trees, there are permanent creeks and springs. The 31^st and 32^nd ayahs of Surat al-Waqi'ah in Holy Quran refer to these features of paradise, noting: " and ever-flowing water and abundant fruits"

The inhabitants of paradise eat a variety of fruits which grow on Heavenly trees.

In the 15^th ayah of Surat Muhammad in Holy Quran, God notes: "…there will be for them every kind of fruit in it"

In another part of the 15^th ayah of Surat Muhammad in Holy Quran, four examples of Heavenly creeks have been mentioned: "A description of the paradise promised to the Godwary: therein are streams of unstaling water, and streams of milk unchanging in flavor, and streams of heavenly wine delicious to the drinkers, and stream of purified honey"

It should be noted that the ever-green trees, fruits, creeks, are other mentioned heavenly blessings are just part of the divine blessings bestowed by God upon the inhabitants of paradise. Words only visualize part of the realities for mankind.
