This is the second year that the mourning ceremonies of Imam Hussein are held mainly in open spaces due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic. Ashura is the day of the greatest epic of history and the most heart-rending catastrophe of mankind, namely, the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his loyal companions and the captivity of the women and children of his encampment.

Aug 18, 2021 12:53Today is the 9th of Moharram, known as Tasua. Imam Sadeq (AS) said, “Tasua is the day in which Hussein (AS) and his companions were besieged in Karbala, the troop of Shaam encircled him and blocked his way. And the son of Marjaneh (Ibn Ziad) and Omar Sa’d were rejoicing of having a big troop and they considered Hussein and his companions as weak and were certain that Hussein would have no more helper and companion and the people of Iraq would not come to his assistance.”

Tasua, the day of devotion to the devout Abbas
Aug 18, 2021 12:44Our heartfelt condolences to everybody on the doleful day of Tasua, the day that preceded history's most heartrending tragedy, and the day on which Imam Husain (AS) gave respite to all conscientious persons in every age and era to contemplate on truth and falsehood. The grandson of Prophet Mohammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny) had with him devoted companions ready to sacrifice their life for defence of Islam and humanitarian values.

Aug 16, 2021 13:52Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny) said, “Hussein has a position which he will achieve through martyrdom; and he has lovers whom he will intercede while his intercession will be accepted; and certainly Mahdi is from Hussein’s progeny. Good for the lovers of Hussein as they are among the victorious on the Day of Resurrection.”
