Iraqi forces start extensive security operations in west of Tikrit

Pars Today - Iraqi forces have launched operations against the remnants of Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in Salah ad-Din Province.

A security source reported today, Saturday, the beginning of extensive security operations by Iraqi forces in multiple sectors in the Jazira area, west of Tikrit in Salah ad-Din Province. The source stated that Iraqi forces have launched operations from several axes in the western and eastern parts of Tikrit to secure agricultural areas and to locate Daesh networks. This Iraqi source identified the objectives of these operations as securing these areas, strengthening positions, conducting search and inspection operations, and ensuring intelligence oversight in these regions.” / IRNA
