Nigeria stresses strengthening intra-BRICS trade and abandoning the dollar
Pars Today - A Nigerian parliamentarian has called for expansion of trade in national currencies, strengthening economic cooperation and joint investment in key sectors at the BRICS trade summit on Friday.
Wole Oke, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Nigerian House of Representatives, at the BRICS trade summit in Brazil, emphasized the need to deepen economic cooperation among the member countries of the group, calling it an important factor in the economic sustainability of developing countries.
Stating that strengthening intra-group trade is no longer an option, but an inevitable necessity, Oke said: "We must trade and invest more with each other and create a "commercial and trading ecosystem" that puts our people first." / Mehr news agency
