Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967
Pars Today- The United Nations Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in Palestine, Francesca Albanese, gave a report on the participation of international companies in the Gaza genocide.
Francesca Albanese announced on Tuesday evening, "More than 60 international companies are participating in the Israeli crimes in Gaza." According to Pars Today, Albanese said, "This report has been produced on the basis of more than 200 documents and information from governments, defenders of human rights, firms and academics."
She described the measures of international companies in the Gaza genocide as part of a "genocide campaign" and added, "While life is being destroyed in Gaza and the West Bank is under increasing attacks, this report shows why this genocide persists because it is very profitable for many."
Albanese's list includes the names of notorious huge corporations such as Lockheed Martin and Leonardo whose weapons have been used in Gaza.
As in the section of machinery, the names of corporations such as Caterpillar and HD Hyundai can be seen as maintainers of equipment used for demolition of Palestinians' properties in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Albanese's report also stresses that huge global technology companies play a pivotal role in Israel's controlling system and constant destruction of Gaza. The names of Alphabet-Google mother company), Amazon, Microsoft, IBM and Palantir Technologies are among the names mentioned in the list.
According to the UN special rapporteur, these companies supply cloud computer services, Artificial Intelligence tools and controlling systems to be complicit in continuation of occupation and attacks against Palestinians.
Albanese, in her report, has called for immediate stopping of these companies' cooperation with Israel and legal prosecution of their directors because of violation of international rules.
This report is to be presented to the UN Human Rights Council on Thursday. Israel and the US have already left their membership at the council due to what they call as "siding against Israel". In reaction to this report, the US government has asked UN chief, Antonio Guterres, to dismiss Albanese and condemn her report!
