Pars Today – Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said the aggression against Iran has had serious consequences for the global economy, adding that people in the United States have felt its impact on their own economy.
According to Pars Today, Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council and the country’s former president and prime minister, said in an interview with the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network on Saturday night: “Force and coercion have their limits. Moreover, the aggressive attack on Iran has led to very significant changes in the global economy that the United States has been forced to accept. The rise in oil and diesel prices has also dealt a severe blow to American taxpayers.”
Referring to the crimes committed by the United States and the Israeli regime, Medvedev said: “They destroyed everything, and they are to blame themselves. They imposed sanctions and refused to cooperate. Now let them face the consequences. They are facing high gasoline and fuel prices. They are facing shortages of a wide range of essential products. They have high inflation and, basically, they have created these problems for themselves. Let them enjoy it!”
He described the situation as one of the consequences of US policies and warned that Washington’s military actions and unilateral pressure could have further repercussions for international security.
In another part of his remarks, Medvedev criticized the unipolar system and unilateral decision-making by the United States and Western countries, stressing that the world is tired of this approach and is moving toward the emergence of a multipolar system.
