Pars Today- Iran’s President said in a message to the 33rd National Prayer Conference that at a time when Iran needs peace, hope, solidarity and resilience more than ever, the culture of prayer is an invaluable asset for strengthening patience, reliance on God, unity and a sense of responsibility, and can bring hearts closer together and make society more resilient in the face of difficulties.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a message to the 33rd National Prayer Conference on Saturday, while paying tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, that the conference, held under the theme “Establishing Prayer in the Thought and Practice of the Martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (may God’s mercy be upon him),” is a valuable opportunity to revisit the place of prayer in the thought and conduct of the martyred leader. In his conduct, prayer goes beyond an individual religious duty and is linked to self-purification, hope, perseverance and building a righteous society.

Emphasizing that a society in which prayer is established must be a more ethical and responsible society, one that upholds human dignity and justice, the Iranian president said prayer is the manifestation of a profound bond between human beings and God and one of the clearest expressions of servitude and worship of God. Within the framework of Islamic teachings, prayer is regarded as a source of self-improvement, moral purification and the reform of human beings’ individual and social lives.

Pezeshkian stressed that prayer calms the heart through remembrance of God, deepens faith, strengthens determination and keeps hope alive in the human soul. Therefore, the effects of prayer should be reflected in honesty and trustworthiness, respect for people’s rights, the pursuit of justice and sincere service to the people. A society in which prayer is established must be a more ethical and responsible society, one that upholds human dignity and justice.
