Ashura messages from Pakistani officials: Imam Hussein (PBUH) is an eternal symbol of fight against falsehood

Pars Today - Senior Pakistani officials on Sunday, commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (PBUH), his family, and his loyal companions in the epic of Karbala, stated that the third Shias’ Imam is an eternal symbol of the struggle against falsehood, and the message of standing firm against oppression and sacrificing for the truth remains alive today.

The President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari in his special message on the occasion of the tenth of Muharram and Ashura, said: “In the land of Karbala, not only did a battle take place, but this conflict also became a test for the conscience, character, and true spirit of religion.”

Also, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif wrote: “Ashura is a great and instructive day in Islamic history that conveys to us a grand symbol of patience, sacrifice, and adherence to principles, and will illuminate the conscience of humanity until the Day of Judgment.”
