Pars Today – The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Friday condemned the United States, France, and several other Western countries for repeating baseless and absurd accusations against Iran, describing it as a clear attempt to deflect attention from the most urgent issue of the day — the genocide in occupied Palestine.

Esmaeil Baghaei, rejecting the security-related allegations made by the U.S., France, and some other Western nations, stated: "The countries that signed the anti-Iranian statement must themselves be held accountable as supporters and hosts of terrorist and violent groups for their violations of international law in supporting terrorism."

Referring to the recent military aggression by the U.S. and the Zionist regime against Iran, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, which has been met with either active support or complicit silence from the signatories of the statement, the Iranian spokesperson said these allegations against the Islamic Republic are a clear fabrication and a diversionary tactic within a broader malicious campaign of Iranophobia, aimed at exerting pressure on the great Iranian nation.

The senior Iranian diplomat also emphasized that such behavior violates the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Previously, the U.S., the U.K., and several other Western countries had accused Iran of allegedly plotting “killings, kidnappings, and harassment” of individuals on their soil.
