FM, lawmakers discuss regional issues
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and members of the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission in a meeting discussed a range of issues, including the latest developments in the region.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the chairman and members of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission held talks with Zarif in Tehran on Tuesday about the latest regional issues and the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
The Islamic Republic’s foreign policy, bilateral relations with neighboring countries, and the latest international issues were also discussed in the meeting.
Last month, Iran took the 4th step in reducing its commitments under the JCPOA in reaction to the continued failure of the European parties to meet their obligations to the agreement.
Iran maintains that the new measures are not designed to harm the JCPOA but to save the accord by creating a balance in the commitments.
