Iran, Bulgaria discuss enhancement of ties
The foreign ministers of Iran and Bulgaria weighed plans to promote the political and economic cooperation between the two nations.
According to Tasnim news agency, in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart on Tuesday, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev expressed his country’s readiness to broaden relations with Iran.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stressed the need to enhance the trade relations between Tehran and Sofia considering the two nations’ capacities.
The two senior diplomats also weighed plans to convene a consultative political committee, hold a meeting of the joint economic commission, launch direct flights between the two countries, and pave the way for cooperation in the industrial, scientific, technological and tourism sectors.
