Resistance sole way to counter US: President Raeisi

Iran's President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi described resistance as the only approach to dealing with the US’ threats.

According to Tasnim news agency, the Iranian president said in a meeting with a group of Chinese intellectuals in Beijing on Wednesday the only way to stand against the threats posed by the US and its allies is resistance.

Resistance will nullify the danger and turn the threat into an opportunity for progress, he added, warning that retreat from resistance will result in defeat.

Denouncing the attempts to promote phobia about Iran and China as an outcome of the hegemonic system’s fear of the growing power of independent states, President Raeisi said unilateralism has no place in the future of the world.

The world has begun to reject unilateralism, as the measures adopted by the US and its allies in the region and the world to dominate the nations are condemned by the world’s public opinion, he added.

Iran's president emphasized that closer interaction among the sovereign states would result in the exchange of capacities and the neutralization of sanctions and threats.
