Araghchi: No terrorist in Iran has immunity, even if supported by Germany
Pars Today - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in response to the execution of the leader of the terrorist group "Tondar" in Iran and the reaction of the German government to this issue, said: No terrorist in Iran has immunity, even if supported by Germany.
After years of atrocities and crimes committed by the mercenary and terrorist group "Tondar" against the Iranian people, the death sentence of "Jamshid Sharmahd", the leader of this terrorist group who held German citizenship, was carried out on October 28 after going through the legal process and final approval by the Iranian Supreme Court.
According to Pars Today, the Tondar terrorist group, in addition to carrying out the bombing operation at the Seyyed al-Shohada mosque in Shiraz, Iran in 2008, which resulted in the martyrdom of 14 Iranian citizens and the injury of 300 others, had also planned to carry out several terrorist operations in recent years, including blowing up a dam in Shiraz and detonating cyanide bombs at the Tehran Book Fair, which were thwarted by the intelligence dominance of Iranian security forces.
This terrorist group was also involved in the assassination of martyr "Masoud Ali-Mohammadi", a scientist in Iran's nuclear industry.
In a video, "Jamshid Sharmahd", the leader of the Tondar terrorist group, says: "We are not ashamed to kill anyone. Did we deny Shiraz explosion? We commit terrorism and create fear."
After the execution of Sharmahd, the German Foreign Ministry summoned the chargé d'affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In response to this action by the German government, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said: A German passport does not grant immunity to anyone, let alone a terrorist criminal.
Araghchi added: "Jamshid Sharmahd" openly and shamelessly led the terrorist attack on a mosque (Husseiniyeh), which resulted in the martyrdom of 14 innocent people, including women and children. More than 200 people were injured in this attack. There is sufficient evidence available for everyone to examine.
The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized to the German government: Stop covering up and playing psychological games; stop supporting child killers and terrorists, and do not hide behind hypocritical human rights slogans. Even your own people ridicule your arrogant human rights claims.
Araghchi stated that the Iranian people have not forgotten the chemical weapons that Germany provided to the Saddam regime, and added: The German government is also an accomplice in the ongoing genocide of the Israeli regime, as Germany is the second-largest supplier of deadly weapons to Israel for genocide in Gaza and slaughter in Lebanon.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also reacted to the interfering statements of "Josep Borrell", the EU's foreign policy chief, following the execution of the leader of the Tondar terrorist group, saying: Europe is a symbol of hypocrisy.
Araghchi emphasized that when the EU's foreign policy chief says that human life and dignity must be protected, I would like to believe it; but the problem is that your colleagues in Europe shamelessly support genocide in Gaza and slaughter in Lebanon.
