Takht-Ravanchi: Iran will continue uranium enrichment
Pars Today – Iran’s deputy foreign minister for political affairs, in an interview with NBC News, said that despite deep mistrust of Washington following the attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, the doors of diplomacy remain open and Iran will continue its uranium enrichment.
Majid Takht-Ravanchi reiterated Tehran’s long-standing position, stating that Iran has no plans to halt its enrichment activities. “As long as there is no further aggression from the United States, we will not respond,” he said.
He reaffirmed Iran’s openness to dialogue, adding: “We support diplomacy and negotiation,” but emphasized that the US must first convince Iran that it will not resort to military force during talks—an essential condition for Iran’s leadership to consider further negotiations. / IRIB news agency
