Baghaei: US lies about Iran’s intervention in Yemen cannot change the facts

Pars Today – The spokesperson of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that the lies of the US Secretary of State about Iran's intervention in the Yemen-Saudi issue cannot change the facts.

According to a Pars Today report citing IRIB News Agency, Esmail Baghai, the spokesperson of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in reaction to the baseless claim by the US Secretary of State about Iran's intervention in the Yemen issue, wrote on social media: Marco Rubio's lies cannot replace reality. Ansarullah is an independent actor that makes its own decisions; it neither takes orders from anyone nor is it anyone's proxy.

He added: The root of instability in the region must be sought in America's military interventions and its hegemonic policies. If Washington truly wanted peace, it would take only one simple step: it would end its ill-intentioned and destabilizing interventions in our region.

Baghai emphasized: Peace in Yemen will not be achieved with bombs and foreign pressure. Peace begins with honest negotiations based on a roadmap agreed upon by the parties.
