Pars Today - Iran's decorated taekwondo athlete has won the gold medal at the Nagoya Asian Games with full authority.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, on Saturday, the last day of the 20th Nagoya Asian Games, Arian Salimi, Iran's decorated taekwondo athlete, won the gold medal in the men's +80 kg weight category.

Arian Salimi, who has the Paris Olympics gold medal on his record, after resting in the first round, went on to defeat Tang Hao of China and Mohammad Aladarbi of Jordan, earning a place in the final.

The Iranian taekwondo athlete faced Murat Malonov of Uzbekistan in the final match and won in two consecutive rounds to claim the championship and the gold medal.

Meanwhile, Mehdi Haji Mousaei, another Iranian taekwondo athlete, won the silver medal, and Fatemeh Ahmadi of Iran won the bronze medal.

With this, Iran's eight-member taekwondo team concluded its work at the 20th Asian Games with two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze.
