  • Various countries send messages of condolences, sympathize with Iran for Bandar Abbas blast

Pars Today- After the explosion at Shahid Rajaei Port of Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan province (south of Iran), officials of different countries and organizations extended their condolences to sympathize with the Iranian nation and government.

The blast on Saturday at Shahid Rajaei Port of the littoral province of Hormozgan, south of Iran, caused the death of 18 and injury of 800. 729 of the injured were given leave from hospitals. The cause of the incident is not known yet.

According to Pars Today, Spokesman of the UN and officials of a number of countries, including Japan, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Pakistan, Iraq, Qatar, UAE, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Turkey, Venezuela and Cuba, sending separate messages, extended their condolences to the Iranian people and government on the occasion of the blast at Shahid Rajaei Port.

The Iraqi foreign ministry, issuing a statement, expressed condolences over the loss of a number of the Iranian citizens in the blast of Shahid Rajaei Port of Bandar Abbas and sympathized with the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the bereaved families and those who have been injured in the incident.

The Saudi foreign ministry, too, expressing sympathy with the Iranian nation and government over the sad incident, announced the country's preparedness for offering any assistance if Tehran asks for. The Emirati foreign ministry, also, stressed solidarity with the Iranian government and nation over the incident.

The foreign minister of Turkmenistan, also, in a phone contact with his Iranian counterpart, offered his deep sympathy and condolences with the Iranian government and people.
