Imam Khamenei: The Islamic Republic considers it its duty to stand against the savagery and bloodthirstiness of criminals
Pars Today - The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, stated that standing against the crimes and brutality of the Zionist regime in Gaza is a collective duty.
The Leader’s remarks, made during a meeting with members of the organizing committee of the National Congress of Martyred Paramedics on Monday, May 12, 2025, were published on Wednesday at the event’s venue.
According to Pars Today, citing the official website of the Leader’s office, Ayatollah Khamenei described relief workers as a manifestation of human qualities and humanitarianism. Emphasizing the need to sustain the spirit of self-sacrifice and compassion among the Iranian people through cultural development, he stated: “The opposite of this spirit is the crimes and savagery of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the West’s support for it. Standing up against this bloodshed and the forces of falsehood is a duty for everyone.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution described the opposite of the spirit of sacrifice and relief work as the brutal behavior of the criminal Zionists in attacking ambulances, bombing hospitals, and killing defenseless patients and children. He stated: “Today, the world is being run by these human-like beasts, and the Islamic Republic considers it its duty to stand against their savagery and bloodshed.”
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that protesting crimes against civilians is a collective responsibility and added: “It is this sense of duty that drives action and keeps the flame of hope alive in people’s hearts. Of course, it has also provoked enemies such as Western powers to oppose the Islamic Republic — because if we stopped protesting their savagery, they would have no enmity toward us.”
The Leader identified the main issue Western bullies have with the Islamic Republic as its rejection of their false civilization, stating: “Falsehood is doomed to decline and destruction. But achieving this requires action and resistance; one must avoid inaction, retreat, smiling at, or praising falsehood — as such behaviors only enable its advance.”
