Pars Today – The Chief of Staff and Deputy Coordinator of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army says no threat has the capability to undermine the security and independence of the nation.
According to Pars Today, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, the Chief of Staff and Deputy Coordinator of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, in a speech to students at the Imam Ali Officer University on Friday, referenced a saying of Imam Ali: "If you desire peace, prepare yourself for war." He stated that this wise teaching demonstrates that lasting peace and security are achieved only through strength, readiness, and deterrence.
The Iranian Army Chief of Staff, while honoring the esteemed status of the martyrs and recalling their bravery during the Holy Defense [the Iran-Iraq War], added: "The beloved martyrs of the Army defended the territorial integrity, independence, and honor of Islamic Iran by sacrificing their lives. They did not allow even a speck of the homeland's soil to fall into the hands of the enemy. Today, our military forces are the continuers of the same martyrs' glorious path, and we must be ready to follow in their footsteps and, with faith, courage, and devotion, safeguard the lofty ideals of the Islamic Revolution."
Rear Admiral Sayyari, pointing to the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism of Islamic combatants, said: "The enduring words of the proud pilot of the Iranian Air Force, Martyr Brigadier General Mohammad Khalatbari, who said, 'If even a speck of my homeland's soil is stuck to the boot of an enemy soldier, I will wash it with my blood,' represent the peak of love and devotion that the combatants of Islamic Iran have for their homeland and the ideals of the Revolution."
In another part of his speech, the Deputy Coordinator of the Iranian Army highlighted the main mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, noting: "The Army's mission is summarized in three key concepts: preserving territorial integrity, safeguarding independence, and protecting the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran. These three fundamental principles guide all the activities, training, and programs of the Army at all levels."
In conclusion, Rear Admiral Sayyari emphasized the continuation of the path of self-reliance and national power, stating: "The current power of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army is indebted to faith, insight, discipline, and adherence to the commands of the Revolution's Leader. Undoubtedly, as long as these principles are institutionalized within the armed forces, no threat will have the power to undermine the security and independence of Islamic Iran."
