Iran’s Greco-Roman wrestling Shines: Two golds in first four weight categories at World U23 Championship
Pars Today – Iran’s U23 Greco-Roman wrestling team secured two gold medals in the first four weight categories at the 2025 World Championship held in Serbia.
At the conclusion of the first four weight categories of the 2025 U23 World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship in Serbia, Iran’s wrestling team celebrated two gold medals. Gholamreza Farrokhi claimed gold in the 87 kg category, while Fardin Hedayati triumphed in the 130 kg division.
According to Pars Today, Hedayati defeated Armenia’s Razmik Kordian 8-0 in the 130 kg final to secure the gold medal.
Gholamreza Farrokhi, Iran’s other gold medalist, faced Ukraine’s Ivan Chemir in the 87 kg final. He dominated the match, winning 10-0 to claim the U23 World Championship title.
The 2025 U23 World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship is being held from October 20 to October 23 in Novi Sad, Serbia.
