Pars Today – The heads of Iran’s three branches of government, along with a number of senior officials of the Islamic Republic, attended the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in Tehran to pay tribute to the body of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the organizing headquarters for the commemoration of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, announced the schedule of ceremonies. It stated that on Saturday, July 4, the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in Tehran will host the reception and public farewell ceremonies. On Sunday, July 5, the farewell ceremonies will continue along with the funeral prayers. The main funeral procession will take place in Tehran on Monday, July 6.

The announcement further noted that the funeral procession will continue in the city of Qom on Tuesday, July 7, followed by ceremonies in Mashhad on Thursday, July 9, where the burial will take place at the shrine of Imam Reza (pbuh). It also added that additional farewell ceremonies are scheduled for Wednesday, July 8 in the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala.
