India to host BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meeting

Pars Today – The 12th BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meeting, with the participation of Iran and other member states, will be held in New Delhi on Tuesday.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Shina Ansari, Iran’s Vice President and head of the Department of Environment, has traveled to New Delhi to attend the 12th BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meeting.
The meeting will be held as part of India’s 2026 BRICS presidency under the theme, “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”
According to the announced agenda, promoting sustainable lifestyles, forest conservation and disaster resilience, the circular economy, and climate change adaptation are the four main areas of discussion at the meeting.
At the gathering, ministers, senior officials and policymakers from BRICS member states will discuss ways to strengthen environmental cooperation, exchange experiences, and reach common positions aimed at achieving sustainable development and enhancing countries’ resilience.
