Tehran and Prague signed a cooperation pact to boost nuclear cooperation
Tehran and Prague signed a cooperation pact to boost nuclear cooperation between the two countries.
The nuclear agreement was signed between Deputy Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) for International, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Behrouz Kamalvandi and senior Czech officials in Prague on Tuesday.
The cooperation pact was signed within the framework of interactions and exchanges between the two countries in the field of nuclear technology.
According to the pact, the two countries have agreed to make the peaceful use of nuclear technology.
Kamalvandi, heading a high-ranking delegation, is in the Czech Republic to visit UJV Nuclear Research Institute and that country's Skoda auto factory.
In relevant remarks in late April, Kamalvandi, also AEOI spokesman, said Tehran was seeking help from the Czech Republic to construct new nuclear power plants.
Kamalvandi said only 30 countries in the world have nuclear power plants, and not all have experience in the field of nuclear energy.
