  • Iranian director: World demanding different cinema from Iran / Global community in need of Utopia against US

Pars Today- Iranian director believes that the global crimes of the US shouldn't be ignored in cinema.

According to Pars Today, Iranian filmmaker, Mohammad Reza Eslamloo, speaking to Cinemapress website on the anniversary of the American coup d'état of August 19, 1953, said, "Once we had the translation movement and there was the need to translate the Western works and use them for producing artistic and literary works or teaching them!"

Eslamloo reminded in this regard, "But, when the revolution took place, the movement of return to oneself was shaped. Everyone would say that we shouldn’t follow the Westerners. We have our own literature and culture, and this caused us to work according to our national and religious culture and identity."

He added, "Today we need a third wave to promote the apocalyptic literature and desires. This is the mission of the committed, sympathetic and revolutionary artists."

This revolutionary artist, then reiterated that the world is demanding a different cinema from the Iranian cinematographers and they should not be involved in translation and imitation. He made it clear, "We should make a wave. We should found the movement of promotion of the literature, art and concepts of the end time and Mahdaviat [the belief in the coming of the Savior of mankind, Imam Mahdi]."

Eslamloo stressed that the global crimes of the US must not be ignored in the cinema.

This Iranian director concluded, "It is a pain and it is not forgettable! The United States had once used atomic bomb against defenseless people in a juncture in history. Now, the global community should have a Utopia against the US. We should scandalize this source of corruption."
