Iranian men and women teams, champions of world cup taekwondo championships
Pars Today- Iran's national men and women teams of taekwondo won gold medal of the world cup in South Korea.
The Taekwondo World Cup 2024 was held in team form in Chuncheon, South Korea. According to Pars Today, Iran's women national taekwondo team, which had defeated South Korea in semifinal, defeated Maghreb 2-0 in the final game and won the gold medal for the first time.
During the male team games, too, Iran started its competitions with the semifinal against Côte d'Ivoire and defeated it in two consecutive rounds with 175-30 and 140-80 points.
In the final game, the Iranian male team played against South Korea and defeated it in two rounds with 175-115 and 140-70 points. Thus the Iranian men obtained the championship cup for the second consecutive time.
The national teams of Maghreb and Côte d'Ivoire competed for the third rank which ended with the triumph of Maghreb.
